Dear Friend,
Warm wishes from me to you whatever you’re feeling today, whatever challenges you’re going through, whatever moments you’re savoring, whatever joys might be perking up in your landscape. Our lives are a wonderful, weird mix of all of it!
Thank you for taking time to ignite your creative spark, to express the desire that lives inside you.
Today is the final Sunday of February; in our 4-week rhythm, it’s time for a guided meditation. In this meditation, we’ll imagine intuition as a companion who can come be with us when we get peaceful and quiet and offer an invitation.
I’ve been practicing a lot with imagining myself in a peaceful place when I feel overwhelmed. There are so many beautiful spots around me in this winter giving way to spring moment. I spend time with them each day. and also bring them up in my imagination.
Here’s one: these bare trees against the blue mid-afternoon sky.
Listen to the mediation at the arrow above. See what peaceful place comes to you. Write about what you experience.
Writing Practice: Set aside 5-7 minutes for this practice. Write in a journal or open a ‘Journey with The Season’ document where you can return each Sunday.
Prompt: You’ll find the guided meditation at the arrow above. Take a listen. What images came up during this meditation? What did you see and feel in your peaceful place? What happened when you invited your intuition to come? What could shift in your life if you invite intuition to companion you more and more?
If you struggled with the meditation, write about a place that makes you feel peaceful. Write about your connection to intuition—when you feel it present, how you notice it, what happens when you invite it into your consciousness.
I would love to read about your experiences. Feel free to comment below or email me at gabriellekm@gmail.com
Deepening Practice: Read over your writing sometime during the week. Listen to the meditation again. Imagine yourself in a peaceful place on a regular basis. Notice times when your intuition shows up, ready to support and guide you.
Thank you for joining this creative journey in February. Welcome to all of our new community members. Next week, a new theme for March begins–stay tuned!
This week, the world lost an amazing human and I am grieving my dear friend, Bob (far left next to his husband David and to my right is my husband, Fred). Bob’s life force was incredibly strong and unique, he embodied a kind of compassion for others that is all too rare. I feel grateful that he was part of my life for 20+ years and I know I will stay connected to his spirit.
May each of us live with compassion–for each other, for the landscape we’re part of, for ourselves.
Wishing you much love, Gabrielle Ariella
