Hello, Friend.
I’m sending love to you on this late autumn day, this Sunday after Thanksgiving, with whatever you’re bringing here, with whatever questions, doubts and worries are jumping around in your psyche, with whatever moments of joy and love and connection are pulsing through you in this moment.
Through November, our theme has been compassion–and today we’ll get to know compassion one more time, with a guided meditation and connected prompt. (Find the meditation at the arrow above).
Take some deep breaths. There is no where to be but here. Listen, write. Reflect. Maybe listen again now or in a few days from now or whenever you need to remind yourself that great waves of compassion are here, in your landscape. In our landscape.
We forget to access them at times, but they are here.
Writing Practice: Set aside 5-7 minutes for this practice. Write in a journal or open a ‘Journey with The Season’ document where you can return each Sunday.
Prompt: Listen to the meditation at the arrow at the top of the page. What images came up during this meditation? What did it feel like to imagine compassion as a friend? What did you see and feel as you walked? What would it feel like to invite compassion to be close to you on an ongoing basis?
I would love to read about your experiences. Feel free to comment below or email me at gabriellekm@gmail.com.
Deepening Practice: In this meditation, I invited you to imagine compassion as a friend. Create your own symbol of compassion this week—look for something you find in nature, a photo of a loved one, a song. Whatever makes you remember that compassion is part of our lives. Keep your compassion symbol nearby. Turn to it when you’re struggling. Write about your symbol and what it comes to mean to you.
Compassion is real–and here for us. Let’s see where it shows up!
I’m GRATEFUL to everyone who joined last Monday’s writing circle on compassion, gratitude & growth! What a beautiful group of souls. We generated a group blessing for the world to close our circle–this practice is powerful!
Save the date! Winter Solstice Writing Circle is December 21. Info and registration here. Join in community on the longest night of the year~a perfect time to explore your dreams and desires for the coming season.
Sending you love and waves of compassion!
